Edge is a women-owned, small business based in Lakewood, Colorado.  Edge is comprised of individuals who have worked together for more than 30 years on numerous projects in the western United States.  The majority of Edge’s work is based on referrals from clients and regulatory agencies.  Where necessary, depending on project need, Edge utilizes subcontractors (i.e., cultural, air, paleo, wetlands, engineering), with whom Edge has existing relationships. Edge’s staff includes GIS and CAD professionals.

Principals

Mary Bloomstran

Mary has more than 30 years of experience in environmental impact analysis and process design of energy-related projects in the western United States. Her project experience includes project management and impact analysis for federal, state, and local permitting of oil and gas development projects, pipelines, coal mines, uranium mines, powerlines, and fiber optic lines. She has served as Project Manager on more than 30 energy-related Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) and Environmental Assessments (EAs) in compliance with NEPA and has been part of the project team on more than 40 additional NEPA projects working with various federal agencies.

Carolyn Last

Carolyn has more than 20 years of experience in oil and gas as well as mining, pipeline, and other energy-related NEPA Projects. She has served as Project Manager on several projects coordinating work on all resources as well as all subcontractors. She is also responsible for final document preparation. Carolyn interfaces with federal, state, and local agencies, where necessary, to ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained for the projects.

Dan Duce

Dan has more than 30 years of experience in range science, soil science, reclamation, environmental permitting and environmental compliance. Dan has prepared numerous NEPA environmental assessments, impact statements, and technical documents on a variety of energy-related projects throughout the western United States, including oil and gas exploration and development, natural gas pipelines, power transmission lines, railroads and coal mines. He has prepared detailed erosion control and revegetation plans for numerous projects and has been responsible for their implementation. Dan is also well-versed in preparing state and local permitting documents and supporting/assisting clients during agency and interagency meetings. Dan has provided environmental litigation support in the pipeline industry.
